Grosvenor Law successfully represents Nick Candy and Holly Valance Candy in striking out £1.5 billion claim
17 Dec, 2025 - DANIEL P. ASTAIREGrosvenor Law has represented well-known property entrepreneur, Nick Candy, and actress and singer, Holly Valance Candy in successfully applying to strike out a claim for £659 million brought by Mr Michael Brown.
Judge Neil Cadwallader yesterday rejected the legal claim of Mr Brown, who said he represented a Saudi prince in an alleged sale of Mr Candy’s One Hyde Park penthouse. Brown claimed he had agreed to sell the apartment and suffered substantial losses when the deal did not proceed. The claims were fully disputed.
The High Court in London delivered judgment dismissing all Mr Brown’s claims on a summary basis and finding them to be “totally without merit”.
Nick Candy and Holly Valance Candy were represented by David Lascelles of Littleton Chambers, instructed by Managing Partner Daniel Astaire.
