Partner Michelle Quinn has provided comment in LBC News, The Lawyer, and The Athletic on the news that the High Court has wound up COH Sports, a company owned by Sheffield United’s former owner, that in 2024 bought the second-tier Championship side.

Commenting on the transfer of the company’s assets, Michelle said: “The June transfer of assets raises serious questions. Looking at the dates, this transfer took place very shortly before the winding up petition was presented. COH will have known, or strongly suspected, that a winding-up petition was imminent.”

Commenting further, Michelle noted: “The liquidator will be going through that transfer with a fine-tooth comb to see if they can clawback those assets. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see allegations of transactions defrauding creditors, or transactions at an undervalue being made by the liquidator in due course.”
