Grosvenor Law successfully represents Candy Ventures Sarl in striking out damages claim at the High Court
27 Apr, 2026 - Grosvenor LawGrosvenor Law has once again successfully represented Nick Candy and Candy Ventures Sarl in their court battle against technology entrepreneur Robert Bonnier, with the Court striking out Mr Bonnier’s Part 20 damages claim in its entirety.
This decision follows the award of £4.6 million in damages by the High Court to CVS in November 2025, when the Court ruled that Mr Bonnier had lied “repeatedly and determinedly” to secure millions of pounds in investment from Mr Candy’s venture fund before his social media start-up, Aaqua, imploded in 2022.
Handing down judgment at the High Court in London, Mr Justice Butcher threw out the claim “on the basis of very significant and continued breaches of the court’s orders”. He further stated that throwing out the claim was not “disproportionate”, and that “justice does not necessitate” giving Mr Bonnier “another chance”.
